Why should we hire a wedding planner?
Planning a wedding is a full-time job and you already have one. It takes people over 400 hours on average to plan one. Hiring a planner lets you focus on what matters most, enjoying your engagement and building your life together. We handle the logistics, navigate the challenges, and make sure every detail reflects your relationship.
Can we still plan our wedding our way?
Absolutely! This is your wedding and we are here to bring your vision to life, not take it over. We work collaboratively, offering guidance and support while making sure every detail feels like you. At the end of the day this is not our wedding or our money being spent, and we want to help you make the most of it.
Do you only work with specific vendors?
Not at all! We have a trusted network we love, and we are just as happy to work with your chosen team or explore new options if they have the proper insurance and come with a great reputation! We also do not accept kickbacks like many in this industry do. Trust and transparency are two of the pillars of this business, and matching you with a vendor that does not fit your vision just so we get a little more money does not sit right. Every vendor we recommend is because they are the best for your wedding, not because they are paying us.
What if we are on a tight budget?
We get it, weddings are expensive. That is why we focus on helping you prioritize what matters most and make the most of what you have. With a little creativity and the right priorities, you can have an amazing day without selling an organ.
Do you offer day-of coordination?
Yes and no. We like to step in 8 weeks before the wedding day to make sure we have dotted our I’s and crossed our T’s. This ensures that everyone involved is fully prepared when your wedding day arrives. Having us step in earlier compared to your typical “Day of Coordinator” allows for you to have peace of mind everything is taken care of.

For the parents
Who is actually on site on the wedding day, and how many of them?
A lead planner runs the day, with assistants sized to the wedding. Full planning weddings have a lead planner plus two assistants as standard. Other weddings get a lead planner and an additional asisstant. Guest lists past 250 or if there is multiple locations, add another assistant. Everyone on the team is a working planner, not a friend holding a clipboard.
Is it one person we work with, or the whole team?
One planner is your main point of contact from the first call to the last dance. The entire Dezarn Designs team is behind the scenes collaborating so no detail is overlooked. You are not just hiring a planner, you are gaining a team who has your back.
How is the budget tracked, and who sees it?
Partial and full planning include a real budget build that we track through the planning window. Whoever is contributing sees it. If parents are funding a share, the budget conversation happens with them at the table, not around them.
What happens when something goes wrong?
Wedding planning comes with curveballs, and that is where this team shines. A vendor hiccup, a last-minute change, an emergency beer run (it has happened, it is in the reviews). We problem-solve and keep things moving, and most of the time nobody at the wedding ever knows.
What is paid, and when?
A retainer reserves the date at signing. The balance is paid in scheduled installments across the planning window, with the final payment cleared before the wedding week. Exact splits are set with you before anything is signed.
